Chastity

Updated: Nov 28, 2023

Erik Varden is the Bishop of Trondheim, Norway, having been for some years a monk and Abbot of the Cistercian Abbey of Mount St Bernard's. While an undergraduate at Magdalene College (1992-1995), he was received into the Catholic Church at Fisher House. He returned a few years later to Cambridge for doctoral studies. His third book has just been published. It explores the meaning of chastity. Bishop Erik continues to prove himself to be a writer who is able to draw fruitfully from Sacred Scripture, the Tradition of the Church, and culture. Helpfully, he has given a summary (with links) of some of the reviews of Chastity:

Bishop Erik will be with us at the beginning of Easter Term to give a public lecture as we celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the purchase of Fisher House.
